Artec 3D makes professional 3D scanners sold in 65+ countries. I work across the software around them: desktop and mobile scanning apps, the customer platform, an internal CRM, and the design system that runs through all of it. I run the research myself.

One system across products that had drifted apart: 280+ components and patterns living in Figma, Storybook, Web Components and React. On products already using it, a page goes from design to working UI in about three hours. It used to take two days.

The main control panel had 15 controls with inconsistent names. I cut it to 6 and moved the rest into contextual and advanced states. The research behind it changed things outside the screen: how many physical buttons the hardware needs, how the LEDs behave, and the default scanning settings on mobile.

Offline scan viewing and editing, so the work doesn’t stop when the connection does. Gaussian Splatting generation, the Studio Light workflow, and photogrammetry from setup to result.

A business-critical platform for around 70 people in sales, management and the C-suite: deals, offers, financial workflows, reporting. A monthly C-level report that took days to assemble by hand now generates itself.

Ten years of scanner and software telemetry had been sitting in engineers’ queries. I turned it into around 30 dashboards that designers, researchers and managers open on their own.
